Holding family Joos acquires Grafische Groep Matthys

Joos nv, the holding company of the Joos family behind leading graphics company Group Joos in Turnhout(B), is taking over the shares and corporate site of fellow townsman Grafische Groep Matthys. The company will continue to operate as a separate entity from its existing location. The four Matthys brothers will remain on board. For customers and employees, virtually nothing will change.

Alex Joos, CEO of the holding company: “The acquisition should make it possible for Grafische Groep Matthys to accelerate its growth through additional investments and market expansion. Grafische Groep Matthys has grown in recent years into a healthy graphics expert with a focus on innovative cold foil printing in Belgium, the Netherlands and France. In addition, we see mutual benefits between Grafische Groep Matthys and Group Joos in terms of  scale and cooperation and production opportunities. We strengthen our position in the graphic industry with the acquisition of Grafische Groep Matthys, a high-quality print specialist with an excellent reputation.

Erik Matthys, spokesman for the Matthys brothers: “This decision stems from a long-term vision of the four brothers, Pascal, Filip, Davy and Erik. As the third generation, we have no succession. We look to the future with interest and see this acquisition as a solid continuation of everything we stand for. And what will likely resonate most with  our customers, suppliers and partners: the trusted team will remain active. The four brothers will remain involved on a daily basis in the coming years and will continue their expertise  within this new graphic, family structure.”
